Martin Bird writes that he has uncovered some images of the Great War that were hidden in an envelope amongst some private papers belonging to his grandmother. He wonders if anyone would be able to identify them. They are very small images, an inch and a half square, but Martin has had them scanned at a very high resolution. Martin writes that one image looks to be the frontline – lots of barbed wire and sand bags and also a few images of what he think is Ypres in a ruinous state, all taken in 1915.
